Courtney, a Southern Illinois native, holds a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Southern Illinois University School of Law. She received her Bachelor’s in Criminology from Webster University, where she was also a member of the women’s basketball team.
During law school, she showcased commitment to vulnerable families, serving as a law clerk at Land of Lincoln Legal Aid—offering vital free legal aid in central and southern Illinois. Her positive impact extended to SIU's Domestic Violence Clinic, where she actively supported survivors. Broadening her legal knowledge, Courtney also worked as a 711 intern in the traffic and misdemeanor at St. Clair County State Attorney's Office where she gained valuable insight into Criminal Law.
Courtney's commitment to advocacy extends to her participation in National Moot Court Competitions in Asylum and Refugee Law, reflecting her dedication to staying current and ensuring optimal representation for her clients. Now an Associate Attorney with Johnson, O’Keefe, Courtney seamlessly blends legal education, practical experience, and passion for advocacy to provide dedicated representation to individuals and families in Illinois.
